SANAA is a wonderful project highlighting marginalised people who make amazing products. In our workshop disabled artists create unique products, mainly from recycled waste. These are sold in our concept store on site which is also home to Sanaa Cafe & Restaurant.

SANAA is a celebration of all that is good, beautiful, Tanzanian and kind. Proceeds are used for the several charitable projects which Sanaa supports. Our artists are proud to be the breadwinners for their families and in turn generate funds to support other people in need!

Key Facts

Located in Gran Melia Gardens, Arusha, Tanzania.
SANAA is based on ancient African weaving techniques such as Weaving using organic Tanzanian cotton for our four looms and base our designs.
We also have Beading, Lost Wax Casting, Glass Blowing, Ghana Trade beads where we use a generation-old West African method to make beads from pulverised glass bottles.
Tailoring, Leather works, Screen-printing as we are lucky to have an Haute Couture designer leading the team to make beautiful clothes, accessories, home decorations and leather products.
Sanaa Cafe & Restaurant - Serving high quality local produce - Coffees, Buddah Bowls, Panini, Salads, Fresh Pastries, Smoothies and Fresh Juices.
